  1. Sewickley will celebrate the end of Slavery with Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, on Saturday at the Sewickley Community Center on Chadwick street. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation more than two years prior. His Executive Order did not reach the south till much later. There will be a re-enactor of President Lincoln. Admission is FREE and there will be a pancake breakfast benefiting the Historical Society. The time will be from 9 am , to 7PM….Visit
