If the Fracking style drilling could be done safely, no one would have a greivance. It has proven time and time again that people are injured , animals poisoned to death, major fish kills, rivers used for sewers , drinking water from municipal authorities pumping brine to homes, methane and who knows what secret propriatory chemicals are in water wells, different gasses vented into the atmosphere have caused uncureable brain leisions in people from Wyoming, caused farm cattle in central Pa to be quarantined because of Radioactive readings in their bone marrow.PA DEP allows waste water to be dumped on roadways and washed into streams where kids fish, swim, and play.People in Pa believe their grave yards are sacred. Just have some kids turn over some grave stones and the community becomes outraged. Now the drillers want to drill the grave yards. Our state government sold the rights to drill on state forrest. The last haven for the wildlife.,will be an industrial wasteland. The time is now to mobilize to force the elected officials to live up to their oath of office or show cause why they should not be removed. Those who promote violating Art.1 Sec 27 of the Pa Constitution should be removed. It is not only the peoples right but their duty.

I don’t think so, Michele. But I’d let them put up wind turbines up here on the hills in Raccoon, as well as some river flow turbines in the Ohio and some solar arrays on top of all those big boxes at the mall. Then I’d find a way to get a worker-owned coop going manufacturing something like Chevy Volts. Wait! The government already owns a batch of GM stock, so buy it all and lease the shops to the UAW and some Green engineers to run. If you want to drill the shale anyway, just do it far away from our drinking water, and put a extraction tax on it large enough so that all the EPA and DEP inspections and such to do in safely are paid for by the drillers, rather than by you and me.
